9th August - Happy National Day ! - 3x events day - 400th post ! -

The past 2 days were mundane at best, and it seems like it's been leading up to a certain event, you know, how its always darkest before dawn.

Coincidentally, this is my 400th post.

Well, i had a very very eventful National Day.

I'll split today into 3 different posts, since they were 3 different events and 3 different set of photo for each.

This post shall be about the WP.

Woke up in the morning at 6:40. I could hear the heavy rain outside, and was sorta hoping that it'll cease it soon. And when i woke up at 7:11, it had already stopped. Thank God man. Wouldn't want to go out in the rain.

Showered, and ate a bit of stuff + glass of milk, before leaving home at 8am. Somehow i managed to reach Kovan MRT station at 9am. Had to call Lilian to find out where the macdonalds was though, after all i've only been to Kovan twice..

It was there that i met the rest of the WP pple who were here for today. Notable names that my poor brain could remember were Glenda, Perry Tong, Bernard, Joy Seng, and erm.. yea that's it. I always said i suck with names, i need to polish up this skill.

Got my WP shirt with a hammer logo at the left side of the shirt, and we waited abit before everyone gathered. Then proceeded to separate us into 2 teams, with 2 different locations to give our flags at.

Our target audience were young children, though we didn't really deny flags from anyone who wants it from us. So happened that PAP had an event there as well, and we saw the MP for the area Ms Cynthia and all of us shook hands. She commented on our blue WP attire, asking us why we weren't in red. *shrugs*

We took about 40-50 minutes to finish giving out the flags, before we took a lift from other members in the party to Bedok.

Bedok interchange! Aw, i haven't been here for so long and its still as crowded. This time our team was mobile, and we walked around the hawker centres and coffeeshops giving out the flags.

Though i must say that i'm still quite well, shy and reserved, considering all i did was smile and give flags to to a few people, i must say Glenda and Lilian gave out the most flags. Glenda Is our leader after all, and well, she's pretty good with the people here. Think some of them have seen her before.

On a separate note, i had some individual chats with a few people, though most of them asked me why i joined. I'm not going to type that here, don't want to clog up the entry. Did discover that we have people from most industries, and really all sorts of people. And hey, i'm the second youngest member~

There were 2 members with us who were photographers for the respective groups. Though i feel that they're vital, i think they must have took at least a hundred photographs, which are a bit excessive to me. True, i know that not all pictures will be posted, but won't the public feel like this is all for show? That's the feeling i get.. but maybe i'll get used to this.

This outreach was definitely an eye-opener for me, and now i have my very own WP shirt =)

Below are some of the photos i took...

This was taken at Bedok interchange hawker centre. Isn't it interesting?

Glenda, Lilian and Bernard. Talked quite alot to them today...

David & Glenda.

The rest of the pics were taken in Kovan hawker centre.

I forgot his name and Lilian =_=
