9th August 2007 - 3rd event - BBQ with David & friends -

Took cab with David and Peck Kin to a condo in Bukit Timah.

Once again, he told me his buddies in the west organized a bbq, so i was expecting a 4-5 people bbq. Yet when i asked him how many people we were expecting, he said along the lines of 50.

Wah kao. 50? You must be kidding me lar. I'm just.. not prepared to see so many people.. haha.

Okay, when we got there, it seems that no one has arrived yet, so we just walked around aimlessly, trying to find out where the bbq was.

Eventually thought, we realized that the bbq was at the bbq pit at the swimming pool. The first place we checked, just that they didn't arrive yet. Phew.

Well what we did was just to sit down at the wooden tables and chairs, and just chat and slacked. A few people joined our table soon after, and after Nicole arrived, we started to play a game called Apples & Apples?

This one will take some explanation =_=

Everyone gets 7 red cards, and at the start of each turn, the judge of the game(which rotates after every turn so that everyone will get a turn to judge) flips open a green card. A word will be on the card, like Confused, and some adjectives of the words, like puzzled, blur, and each of the players will have to pull out one of their cards from their hand, and put it face down. Now these red cards have words from Internal Revenue Services, to David Letterman, to Bats. Basically they're all very random. What the judge does is to decide which card fits the green card the most, and then chooses the card. The one who's card is chosen wins the round, and gets 1 green Card. The player with 4 green card wins the game.

We're supposed to influence the judge, to want him to pick our card and not the others, but i guess we didn't really play it right, cause the judge did his own judging most of the time.

Yet it was still fun in a way.

Then we ate a bit, chatted and just chilled. Nicole told us a lot of lame jokes, like What's the name of Bao gong and Snow white's daughter?

Hui Gu Niang (Cinderella). =_=

And alot of others.. David did his levitating water trick several times, and told several stories as well. People kept coming one after another, til there were about 30 people in all?

I spent the most time with Johnny, David's Si-dang, and Peck kin, David's P to sec school si dang, and me of course, David's poly si dang.

Incidentally, the 4 of us decided to get some beer, and perhaps because of the beer, i opened up and talked alot to them. Shared our opinions on politics, mlm, work life, anything and everything in particular.

There's nothing much to say, other than i had a great time even though i was tired, and even though there's nothing much to write, it was fun.

I walked to the bus stop with Johnny, and we shared our views on Christianity, or did i just tell him mine? Yup, think i can click with them. I've added them in msn as it is.

And that's the end of that event. Pictures below~
