10th Aug 2007 - Facial - New specs -Talks - Future? -

Dennis from HR came over a bit, and we had a rather long chat.

Since boss was in a meeting it was just the two of us, and we talked about how its hard finding the other person to fill up the table between me and my boss, and i decided to tell him my pay isn't high enough.

He did tell me to wait til i was confirmed, and then negotiate my way through together with my boss, though i have to back it up with some figures from the outside world..

SIgh, money so hard to earn hor? I especially hate the fact that the economy doing so well we're probably at the diamond era, yet we're still paid peanuts.. no, not the one from NKF, but literally peanuts.

Lilian asked me to watch This video, and after watching it, it really sets you thinking. Got me disturbed in a bad kind of way as well.

Patrick was leaving today as well, so we took a photo, exchanged phone numbers and contacts, and yeap, guess i won't be seeing him much from now on. Not that i saw him alot in the first place. Haha.

Left a bit earlier today to get my specs @ Bukit Batok. Didn't wear it immediately cause it was making me feel a bit dizzy, not to mention i wasn't going to need it where i was going, so yeap.

Reached Tanjong Pagar and waited a bit before i had my facial done. Yea i go for facials, Metro right? Its a long story though, and one i don't feel like telling now.

After the facial i saw Tim, and he was trying to get me back in the 'game', by telling me about the latest promotions. Eh, the $13.80 for a trial facial that lasts for 1hr15minutes is a real good deal, so let me know if you're interested.

Then he talked some more, and showed me to his car. It was a merc benz which cost him more than $100k. He said its different when he looks at girls in his car, the girls actually smile back. It was a different story when he was driving his old car though.
Told me about how practical the women were, and how different it feels to be in a good car, as compared to an older model.

I could tell. One thing that really made alot of sense was that you first have a dream of owning a car, before you work towards it and get it. You don't work towards nothing, then dream of having it at the end.

All in all, men need dreams, and only when we work towards the fulfillment of our dreams are we truly complete.

Somehow he really affected me. I didn't know what to eat again, so decided to just come home and had instant noodles and hotdog buns. Guess its really time i sat down and planned for my future for what its worth.

... he really got me into a reflective mood there.
