Game Review: Fatal Frame 3 (Ff3)

Now... Ff3 boosts some really nice features... its played mostly Silent Hill 4 style, where you play in 2 dimensions, for Ff3, its dream world, and real world. In dream world, you get to walk around the haunted places, shoot aggressive ghosts, find keys to unlock doors, shoot certain ghosts to unlock even more doors, and go around finding memo's and items.

If you don't already know, Ff is a game in which you basically take your camera and go around shooting ghosts. Its definately not for the faint-hearted. Even for those who are 'man enough', playing this with the lights off at night will definately give you enough of a kick to stop soon after.

In the real world, you get to talk to your cute assistant Miku, who happens to star in Fatal Frame 1. I never did get to complete the game, but i guess her brother's still missing. She helps you research photos that you shoot in your dreams, and tries to piece things together with you in some way. There are no aggressive ghosts in your house(yet), though i almost managed to shoot a picture of a shadow...

The characters are very pretty and quite well done. Though why they dress so nice when they sleep and stay indoors is beyond me. I'm pretty sure you can control her and another guy Kei, later in the game.

About the story part, to keep it short, Rei(star of this series), is touched by a female ghost who's whole body is made up blue tattoos in a haunted manor... and its spreading everyday. She needs to solve the puzzle before the entire tattoo envelops her body, and she gets 'spirited away'...

4/5 stars. Its scary(though not as much as the other 2 in the series), and it keeps you on the edge, and just want to keep on playing. Though sometimes you get stuck because there aren't enough clues... Its all in good fun though.~

Fatal Frame 3 + Cleaning up

I woke up at 6, played a bit of Wild Arms: Alter Code F, and watched some Black Cat, Mai Otome. I got bored and soon after breakfast, played some Fatal Frame 3.

In the afternoon i had to help with cleaning up.. my room. I took out all the old stuff i kept.. from the poly enrolment stuff, to stuff i bought from Dik.. the naruto keychains, the full metal alchemist pocket watch which i thought was cool(i still think its cool, but its weird to take it out for the time). All my army stuff. Phew. That really took some time.. from BMT, to SMM, to UM. All the stuff i have to keep.. and my old Magic cards..

Some stuff really brings back memories though, like letters from my old penpals whom i pretty much lost contact with.

I think i gained weight again.. i need more exercise~ I'll update more later... now planning where to go ...

Friday + half day.. Day of sleep.

Its a friday~ And aren't we all glad its here? And what's even better is that it happens to be a half day as well, the rest having to go for some Nalcom celebration..~

Not to mention i woke up earlier yesterday..

Today was quite busy.. i don't understand why they say its slack and there's nothing to do... they should come reception.. there's Always someone who's here to get something, here to do BMI, here to book appointment, etc...

I think i'll be pretty busy for the rest of my life here..

I took like 30+ minutes to settle 1 appointment cause of certain complications.. and i learnt how to take BMI... basically ht, wt, etc.

Hmm, 12pm came soon enough, and after some little talk by snr medic Naresh, we left... waited 15 minutes for the bus... and the ride took 30 minutes. Whoaaaa... Jiaxin was sharing some hospital experiences he heard about... i shall not list them here..

Reached Jp and went home, didn't feel like going to the arcade cause i was just so tired. I slept at 5, and woke up at 7+ to pick up a call( i just hate phone calls, esp when i'm sleeping, since they're 99.99% not for me anyways).

And ... i woke up at 6am the next day

Third Day

Had to reach early cause we needed to do an IPPT cover. Me, Rongming and Jeremy. It was so sunny and we had to stand all the way... i'm surprised i didn't faint from heat exhaustion. Hah.~

Went back at about 9:40 and drank a bit of water, rested a bit before going to dispensary a bit. Talked to QS who came here for a dental appointment, and then did lots of Docu-related stuff...

In the afternoon i played some bball with gary and 2 other pple, then the 5 of them played squash... wow, it was really quite a workout. Its been some time i guess...

We left at 5+, and i took 98 home. Would have reached home at about 6 if not for the fact that i saw Peiqi at the polyclinic bus stop. I almost couldn't recognise her... she's changed quite alot. From the xiao mei mei type to a more mature one now... Strange thing is that's what yx said when he met me.. and the fact that i've grown fat of course.. hmmph.

Oh yup, she's on her way to meet yx, so i decided to tag along a bit, then to kbox to check some stuff, and went home...

Time really flies, she's no longer a xiao mei mei.. Yx nv changed at all. hahaha.

As i said, i feel old... someone give me a new lease of life...~

Second day.. In a big ship~

Today Sgt Andy came... he told us loads of stuff, and our OJT starts today. Basically we start staying in next week(phew), and only 2 days per team, 3 if you can't answer his questions in the q&a, which will be held every friday..

Quite a relief. I don't really feel like staying in. Feeling a bit weary of late.

Today i stayed at med log again... this time i actually learnt quite a lot of stuff, maybe because Edward was asking lots of questions.. hmm. Maybe i should start asking questions and remembering stuff for a change.

We went to collect stores too, and went for a little 'interview' in our teams. Got briefed on what to do, basically need to clock signatures by achieving a certain proficiency in all the different departments.. And at the end, Sgt Andy will test us again...

Me, Jiaxin, Ivan, Kiat and our trusty Cpl Paul Goh went to the Avatar today. Its a merchant ship, and its really big. Woo. I went up and got to operate the crane. Its pretty cool. I never thought i'll be able to do something like this.. ever.

Wait, maybe i should describe the ship. Its about the length of 1 football field, and it made the 5-tonners beside it look like toys. Hah~ Anyways after we loaded the medical supplies in, we explored the ship a bit. There's a gym just beside the medical centre(room?), and the crew lounge looks pretty good. There's even an indoor pool, though it was empty. Paul told us that the water is a bit rusty when the pool's on, and i trust him. Heck, i turned on the tap on the medical ctr(room), and it was yellow for the first few seconds... euu~

After that, went back and did area cleaning.. everyone changed to their admin, and i was the only one in my army admin. I swear they're trying to make me stand out. Grr. After we did our area cleaning(details so boring i don't want to say), we gathered for last parade, and talked and intro-ed a bit. Oh yea, it seems i'll be the docu-medic, unless something goes terribly wrong or i screw up somewhat...

Rongming and i will be doing an ippt cover with Jeremy tomorrow... since most of the people are taking off or half off ... grr. I spent up all my leaves... which means me, gary and Rongming will be there the entire day.

So be it. After we left, joined wq and qs for some arcade... hotd4, and ljs, before heading home...

Weird Dreams ... Memories...

To those who happen to chance upon this blog i may or not unleash upon the world.. please note that i may not elaborate too much. I'm usually feeling so weary.

First of all.. i had a weird dream. I dreamt that my sister and Celine died. I think they committed suicide or something... i was searching for something in the dream, and then i just cried... that's all i remember..

2 people jumping off hdb... crying... doesn't this remind me of Lionel and Fadly? Sometimes i wonder what life would be for Nbcb if Lionel hadn't done what he did back there. Hey, maybe i would be a different person altogether~ Now that's very likely..~

I always thought that their deaths have affected me in some way, though i can't tell what. Well, there are many things that made up my life... and their events have added to it in quite a big way.

I still haven't mourned properly for you yet Fadly, and i don't think i can now. Rest in peace..~

First day of Medical Centre

I really wanted to do this blog for some time, but never really got around to doing it cause i get lazy. hah.~

Anyways here it goes. I may recount things that happened before my Medical Centre life occasionally, that is if i feel like doing it, and if i recall it of course...

Today i .. ah crap. Got interrupted to join a game of dota. First entry and this happens.. hmm. I'll get back to this soon.

Back. Ended up they started before me.. hmm~

Today was a relatively slack day. Everyone was posted to some division, 10 pple, 5 divs, and in the end i got posted to medical logistic. Which meant i did storeman stuff. Looked at expiry date, loading and unloading stores, paperwork, etc.

Tuas medical centre is really quite a nice place... And its a good thing cause i'll be staying in from tomorrow onwards. 2 weeks later there will be a test, and if i fail it, i will continue to stay in...

I found out that i'll be doing duty on the 1st and 3rd day of the CNY though. Hmm, mixed thoughts on that one..~
