Sunday - last minute duty tomorrow

Atelier iris again, and left for JP at 8+.

Only when the bus came then i realised i didn't bring my wallet. Left it at home after i dried my slipper with tissues... there was a very heavy rain in the afternoon...

Basically when i reached JP the area was flooded.

Nope, not with water, but with people.

All the eating places were full. In fact, everywhere was full. I went to the arcade a bit and it was just as full. I saw Jingwei there though, and he had a few mei mei's with him.

Went to billy bombers, saw that it was full, went to pizza hut, actually went in, but saw that many people haven't taken their orders yet, and so we left. Went to subway, but we had to wait 20 minutes for the bread to be ready. Went to fish & co, but noel had a pizza craving so we left.

IN the end, we went to Mos burger. (In the end, it doesn't really matter). The food kinda sucked. Beh. Its a sucky evening. Truly.

To make things worse, i received a call from the medical centre, which CANNOT be anything good. Indeed, i'm on duty tomorrow. Yeap. on Labour day, a public holiday, and i only found out now.

Apparantly someone was supposed to call me, but he didn't. And i'm off on tuesday too.

Its fine though, i'm sorta resigned to my fate. Bad things come in pairs ... or threes. I'll just stay up late and sleep the whole of tomorrow. *shrugs*

Saturday

It wasn't a bad day. I woke up to see to find out that the outing for tonight has been cancelled. I can't say i'm happy about that, but i'm relieved.

At around 12, Qs smsed and asked if i would like to bowl for $10. Its a certain event... and around 2, me, weiquan and him departed in his car to the grassroot's club, which is beside NYP.

It was some activity organised by his friend Evelyn. Its a cathay bowl, and at some time they turned off the lights, which made the entire place blue. Not a big place, only 12 lanes, but they booked the entire place which was quite cool.

The first game was my personal best, at 145. The other 4 games were around 70+.. =/
I call it depreciation. hohoho.

After that we wanted to go over to suntec for dinner, but the car was low on fuel, so we moved to bukit timah and had a seafood dinner instead, consisting of stingray, sotong, cockles? and kangkong. Everything was spicy, and weiquan commented that i was raining =/

It was a good dinner though.

Went to JEC arcade after that. Played HOTD4, and died at stage 2 boss. Sigh. Then played some bball games and stuff. I finally tried my hand on those UFO catchers. Spent $5 to no avail. Grr. i'll get it one day.

Then went home and played Atelier Iris... the cat girl Norn is so cute! i love cats!

Day of Many Events

I know i haven't written in a while, but i just got a bit bored of writing, esp since my computer is down. Well, i decide to make an exception for today cause i want to remember today... Not that i don't want to remember the past few days, like:

1) Met up with Keng san and happened to see Pearlyn(who's grown a bit fatter i believe, and yet it was only a glimpse).
2) Saw sherlynn who seemed to have aged..

Amongst many more.

But today...
We arrived to find out that 3-4 people have been assigned to Changi to move furniture... what in the world? Why don't they use their own medics? Its ridiculous..

Not to mention, before our first parade, at around 8:20, there was an emergency case. Someone fell down the stairs in his ship, and Jiaxin had to go over. Coincidentally it was Sean who's on ambulance duty today.. and he says he's cursed.. hah.

The counter was quite messy, and people had to wait for quite some time, especially when someone had to be emergency referred to PCC. His appointment was made for 11:30, at around 10+pm! Now i've never seen that happen.

Not to mention less than an hour later, someone else had to be referred to SAF Psychiatric ward.. Since i was going to outstation anyways, i decided to follow her and rongming to Alexandra.

First time went in AH, and it feels like a nature reserve of sorts. The SAF Ward building was full of people who looked ... tired and despondent.. and i was almost reluctant to leave the patient there... oh well.

Took a cab outside queensway, and bumped into an eccentric taxi driver. He sped quite a bit, overtook other cabs, and keep telling me stuff that i don't understand. (Yes, he was speaking in half chinese half hokkien, but still. Why is he telling me that anyways?)

The only beneficial information that he gave me was that the petrol prices have risen, and we got our progress package! Wee!

Back home Rongming called to tell me that someone else is being reffered to PCC. Sighs. Jiaxin called later again for the same thing.

This is absurd. Usually we only get 1 to 2 cases in a whole month. But this makes almost 3 in a day!

Not to mention the computer guy came at night instead of the afternoon, and there's nothing in the computer. I specifically asked him to backup the hard disk.. but no..

Now my outside computer is but an empty shell.

I'm going to 'celebrate' Jiayan's bday tomorrow night. Though i don't feel like going. If david wasn't going i probably wouldn't as well.

Oh well.

I"ve been pretty busy the whole week.

Highlights of the week would include -
Monday: Bought new 25" Tv to put in room
Tuesday: Duty blues, lotsa stuff happened. Mostly unpleasant.
Wednesday: ??
Thursday: Stayed in cause got released at 8:30pm
Friday: Broke down cause too stressed
Sat: Didn't do anything much.
Sun: refer to sat.

I'll be going to genting on tuesday night. Hope i enjoy myself lots...

I always told people since a long time back, that things happen when i'm around.

And its kinda true you know, i have people asking me questions from nowhere, asking me directions, donations...

Phone calls from people i dunno, who accidentally call me. Phonecalls that wakes me up even though its not for me...

Strange scenarios that never seem to happen to anyone else... etc.

And now i'm seeing it in my work place.

Believe it or not, i have been the duty medic for 90% of the major events that has happened so far. The last 2 audits, the last Mipa, the last 2 ops, and what do you know, the incoming audit as well.

I am seriously wondering what it meant. It was so weird that i started to laugh at myself when i realised my duty was on tuesday. I mean.. i was planning to go to HQMC to 'escape' from the audit cause i know nothing about it.

But now, it seems like i have to memorize it or something, cause like it or not i'll be there. The whole day.

Sometimes i don't know whether to laugh or to cry..

Weekend roundup

I haven't spent so much in a weekend for a long time...

Friday night i went to Kushinbo at Suntec City with half of the medical centre gang, including those who orded.. was pretty nice to catch up and the food there was pretty good.. though i think $43 was a bit too expensive..

I asked my friend to take a few pictures, though he hasn't sent them to me yet..

Saturday .. i slacked most of the day away, playing grandia when i woke up. Supposed to go out and buy a tv back, but i felt so tired in the afternoon, and my companion was feeling the same, soo....

I went out at night, originally to go to the library... However, i waited close to half an hour for the bus, which meant that the library was closed when i arrived. Sigh.

I happened to go to JE's arcade, which is now a ZoneX. There were loads of simulation games, and the place looks much better now. That is what i call an arcade, compared to what 'used' to stand for an arcade back then.

Joined up with Jooseng and Tianzhong at IMM, and went to NUS area for prata. I happened to see Jolene from way back in Hks... haha. She brings back memories...

You see, the group of my friends used to tease me about her, cause i think she admired me for a while. The thing is she wasn't what you call pretty... you get the idea? It was pretty funny..

I happened to see Dr Ivan too. He was wearing the RSN medical t-shirt and he sat beside my table. Talk about coincidences eh.

Went home and continued to Grandia. Sigh. I feel like i got no life.. haha.

Sunday. Was supposed to go to church, but realised that there's only me and my brother at home... beh. So we ordered Canadian Pizza for lunch (and dinner).

Spent the afternoon gaming and sleeping, and went over to JP to meet up with Noel for a drink at night.

Now i'm back home and typing this..

A new week ahead... what will it bring?

I think slowly this blog is turning out to be like my old online diary i had last time.
I type in the same way, and slowly i'm losing interest.

I don't think alot of people are reading it either... cause even i wouldn't read through so much words that make not a lot of sense...
