Now its even more messed up. Not going to spend that 30 minutes and type again.

25 march 2007, Sunday

25th March 2007, Sunday

I woke up at 9am to give my friend his morning call, only he didn't wake up. Woke up again at 9:30, then showered and dressed up and went to his place.

Man, was i reluctant to wake up~ The bed felt so good!

But i had some stuff to take from his place, and he's going sailing so soon i won't be able to see him in a while, and i had some things to talk to him about anyways so..

Reached his place, leeched some mp3s, got the stuff i wanted. Left for CCK library, then for home.

Read Terry Goodkind for a few hours, then slept a bit.

Woke up with a headache, and realised that its a horrible idea to close the curtains fully to block out the sun, cause there just wasn't enough air! *Gasp*

Woke up, chatted a bit with pple in msn, and finished blogging.. at last! Whew~

I have a very busy week coming up... considering i'm on duty on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday... sighs. There will be a lot of time to reflect, no doubt.

24 March 2007, Sat

24th March 2007, Sat

I
don't remember what time i woke up.

Only know that in the afternoon Qs and Jason asked me to go out. Since i already agreed to go to the bbq, i had to put them on hold.

What's with QS and gang + mahjong anyways... seems they're playing it every other day..

Anyways i slept a bit in the afternoon cause i was horribly fatigued~~ Woke up at 6+ by Weixiang's call, and i took 333, then 188 to Harbourfront where his gf's brother fetched me to the location.

Labrador park was a pretty ... secluded and generally dark place. They warned me about the mosquitoes, so i took it as my duty to make sure all the mosquitoe coils were constantly lighted.

Okay who's there, Junling and GF, Weixiang and GF, GF's brother and me.
GF's brother left after a while to fetch his friends from JP here.

So mostly it was the 5 of us doing the bbq. They tried quite a lot of dishes, like the soya sauce chicken. It took two tries before they got it right, and it really tasted pretty good. The honey nuggets were cool, and the honey hot dogs though they look albeit burnt, it tasted sweet~ (Hey, i did it, so give me some credit). The cheesy potatoes didn't taste anything, and i had to add some salt on it. The honey apples were sweet and good, but i don't think you're supposed to eat more than a couple of pieces. Haha. The otak was pre-bought, and was okay.

The cheese hot dogs didn't work out that well =_= And some other dishes that i forgot.

All-in-all, i reached at about 8, and we bbqed til around 10:30 when the Winds came.
All of a sudden the wind just started to blow very hard, and it didn't stop! It just kept blowing and blowing. Around 10 minutes later we decided that the rain was coming, and that we should abandon fort. We started to clear everything and 5 minutes later gf's brother came back with his friends.

I think his friends must have 'sianz diao' on the spot. I would if i were them. Fortunately, they had like 5 cars in total for the 8 of them and the 5 of us, so it wasn't really a worry.

After talking a long time on where to go, we decided to first buy charcoal at Giants (it was already 11:15) and then go to Weixiang's area to bbq.

When we reached Giants at 11:30, we browsed through a couple of stuff, and got some ice-cream before we started queing up. Think that was a mistake cause the queue took at least 20+ minutes. The guy way up front has a total of $365.50! That's pretty insane if you ask me.

Oh yea, did you know that UOB credit card holders get a 1% rebate at Giants? Think about it man! If that guy was a UOB credit card holder, he'll have saved $3.65! With that money saved, he could've taken a cab! (Not at midnight though)

We reached the cars at around 12:30. I tell you if i were his friends i would really have sian diao.
Off we went to weixiang's place, and then he got his eq, and some chairs down to the multi storey car park.

They started the fire.. or should i say gf's brother Alvin started the fire by himself. Think Alvin was in quite a bad state. None of the others were helping him, they were just talking to themselves, and sheesh, most of them were wearing pants, long-sleeved shirts, etc.

If you ask me, they look more like they're going to cheong instead of a bbq. Think they're all around the age of 22.

After the fire started, it was really a fire(how do i put it? They used way too many fire-starters, and were literally burning the nuggets.). Thankfully we were pretty much finished with our bbq, so we just munched on the chips and ice cream we bought and chatted.

They got enough of it after a while and at 2:45 they decided to call it a day. Washed everything up and left for home.

Weixiang was saying some stuff about his brother... like he's old enough to know what he's doing. Frankly speaking his friends didn't really look like his friends. This bbq is like a one man show =_=

Ah well. Its not for me to care, but he reminds me a bit of myself, just that i don't have a car. haha.

Well i won't ever be like that. No one's going to be able to use me that blatantly.
He drove us all home, and i slept at 5+.

Isn't it weird? 2 groups of people having a bbq, but it turned out so differently... a strange twist of fate perhaps..

23th March 07

23th march 07, Friday

This was the day where i learnt a bit more about myself.

Dennis was on duty, and he introduced a couple of friends to me earlier back before the sailing. One of them, Wendy, was a nurse.

One thing about me is that, i seem to have nothing to talk to nurses about. I think its a psychological barrier i swear. When i find out that they're nurses, my mind starts turning blank and i don't know what to say. Not to mention Wendy. I knew another girl named Wendy, and i got nothing to say to her too.

Anyways. Turns out that Dennis asked her about me, and she said i'm too serious and stuff. Man, i know i got to start relaxing a bit and crap more. But its about the mood. I guess if i can get into the mood whenever i want to, i'll be a lot more powerful i guess.

Need to brush up on my smile too i guess~

After work, met up with Quan to get my hdd back. We talked about Linjie, and he told me about his 'date' with her. Seems he's still uncertain about her. Bleh.

I showed him the girl, and we both agreed she's cute. Haha. I swear i could just sit down and watch her if i get the chance. But that'll be very creepy won't it?

We went up and played some Pool. i think i lost like 6-2 to him =_=. I must say, he's getting much better at it than me. Or is it because i'm not practicing enough? Hmm.

Went home and talked to LinJie and Dennis. This time got more things to talk to her lar, guess i managed to create the crappy mood. Dennis tried to tell me a long story about his friend, but to keep it short, basically to stop living life so seriously.

Okay man i agree. I'll change this year. Its way past time anyways.
Drank a bottle of Hoe Garden cause i was feeling the blues =/

I must say i had a hell of a time opening it. In the end i had to use some big chopper to hack at it.
It worked eventually..

Yeap, slept at 2+ i believe.

Thursday, 22nd March

I slept at 5+, cause i did some unpacking, washing up, surfing, etc. Was woken up a few times by phone calls, and i don't remember what time i woke up, maybe 1+ i think.

I blogged a bit until i felt a bit feverish. =_=
Then at night i decided to msg Jek in msn, asking if he wanted to meet up and chat abit cause i was feeling a bit cooped up at home.

After chatting a bit, i realised that he could only meet up at 12. Beh. So be it, around 12 i met him at Chinese garden, then we walked to the Prata shop near Jurong Polyclinic and had our supper there.

We caught up a bit, realised that he's a much more avid anime/movies watcher than me, not to mention that he suscribes to MobTV. Phew.

It was nice catching up, and he pestered me to walk him home, so i did, I needed the walk anyways, it was quite a heavy supper. He then tried to psycho me to join him in going to genting in July, cause he wanted to read his Harry Potter at the starbucks over there. =_=

$198 for 2 people, for 2 nights.

I think its a bit boliao. But i did tell him i'll think about it. Who knows, i may get a good book by then too.

Reached his place, then as promised he sponsored my cab fee home. Slept close to 3am...

Special dinner

There was a special dinner on the last 2nd day back. Basically we were to eat on the ... 2nd level of the ship. And there were 6 dishes in all.

I helped out in the kitchen when i could, frying some chicken wings, grabbing stuff for the C-chef, cutting things, bringing stuff up, etc.

Well it was my first time frying chicken wings, and it turned out pretty good until everything is over and it was time to eat.

I must admit, i didn't feel like eating at all. But i just grabbed a little soup and rice and ate a bit. Roger then explained to me that the oil from cooking when breathed in, can make you full. That explains why i never see them eat anything they cook. And now i've experienced it for the first time myself. Haha.

The chicken wings weren't enough, and i was asked to make another batch. I turned on the oil, and then put the wings in with the flour, until i saw smoke emit from the oil. It got pretty bad as the whole place started to smoke up, and the smoke got my eyes tearing =_=

Later i found out that the oil wasn't hot enough(hey! He didn't tell me the red light had to be off first =/ And that i've used too much flour. He didn't tell me that either!)

I must be the first person in the whole of the Ship history to start a smoke parade in the kitchen. Haha.

Nothing much happened til we reached Singapore.. I lugged all my stuff back, and shared a cab with a lieutanant home. I didn't want to stay-in cause i needed a shower and i told my mom i'll be back home anyways. Besides, i could reach TMC fast enough if needed, and there weren't any instructions from the higher up, so off i went, while my counterpart stayed.

In the end, he got 1 1/2 days off while i only got 1. Why? I didn't call him. (Huh? I thought 1 of us call can liao?) Anyways, forgetting the absurdity of it all, it all reverts back to Power. People with power and rank in the SAF can do anything they want to people below. They can cite all the reasons they want, but in the end its all up to them right?

No matter. You win some, you lose some~

2-3rd day of Port blair, the trip back

2nd day of Port Blair

I was volunteered to go to the 'Lights & Sound' show. It starts at about 6:45pm. (Oh wait, did i say that the sun starts to set from 4:30? And that it feels like 9+ from 6pm onwards?). This 'event' was to be held at the Cellular Prison.

It was like an open air amphitheatre, and everyone including the natives and a couple of foreigners were seated at the back, while we watched the happenings unfold.

How do i describe the environment there? Its like A V shaped cluster of buildings(from our angle), and the right side of the V extends longer than the left. Initially everything was dark, then as the story unfolded, certain parts of the 'backyard' started lighting up, and there was speech. Speech from the people involved.

Basically they're trying to tell us the story of how the Cellular Prison evolved, and the heroes of the jail. To put it in simple crude terms from my diver friend, 'The tree was talking to the tower, and the tower was talking to the tree'. I felt that it wasn't that bad, and was pretty interesting.
Except that the flies that kept bitting were kinda relentless, and irritated the heck out of me.

Still, we were glad its over, and went for dinner after that.

On the 3rd day, we went out for dinner, then came back to the ship. The 2 ships were having cocktails, and i was supposed to help out as a server. I donned my No.3, and then came out to the deck? The food was already there, so i just helped with clearing the empty glasses and plates.

It was really interesting to be hosting the cocktail. I must admit its the first time i've seen a female LTC in her no.3. The first time i've seen a LTC batch on a collar. Not to mention the place was very very windy, and i think they must be having a hard time eating. Haha.

It eventually ended, and we all helped to clear up, the tentage as well. Now that took some time.
Eventually slept late cause we played some Monopoly. Sheesh, i think i lost horribly. What are the chances of stepping on Super Tax three times in a row? At the first 3 turns?? =_=

The next day we sailed off... and for the rest of the trip, i managed to lose terribly at Risk and Monopoly. Even the last game of Risk, where i thought i was winning. Hmm, sometimes you let yr opponents go, and they come back and haunt you. Supposed alliances are not what they seem. Winners can be losers in a turn of a few hours~~

So this board games frenzy continued until the last 2nd day...

This is absurd.

I got invited to a bbq by my friend, which consist of a select group of couples(2 actually, and his gf's brother) and now 2 more sides want me to join them.

1 for movies, 1 for mahjong.

Its kinda ridiculous actually. Sometimes when you find someone to go out, you don't find anyone.

Then when you thought you got an appointment settled, several more pop up and they all ask you, what kinda bbq? Why nv invite me? Nvm lar, join me~

Dey. its my life lar. Stop messing around with it.

A joke from weiquans' blog

A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed nicely made up and everything neat and tidy.
Then he saw an envelope propped up prominently on the pillow. It was addressed, "Dad". With the worst premonition, he opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:

Dear Dad,

It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with you and Mom.

I've been finding real passion with Joan and she is so nice. I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercings, tattoos, her tight motorcycle clothes and because she is so much older than I am but it's not only the passion, Dad, she's pregnant.

Joan says that we are going to be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood, enough for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.

Joan has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it and trading it with the other people in the commune for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want.

In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Joan can get better; she sure deserves it!

Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday, I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grandchildren.

Your son, Chad

P.S. Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at Tommy's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the report card that's in my desk drawer.

I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home!

(Thought this was pretty funny. Cheers to quan for putting it on his blog)

Taking a break from the blogging. Been feeling warm.
Hope i'm not getting the fever or anything... laters.~

Analaysis

My analysis on Port Blair:

They said that the Tsunami hit the port pretty bad, and that could be the reason for some of the architecture changes:

The roads are uneven, and it goes up and down.
There's loads of sand around, and it keeps getting to your eyes.
Its relatively warm, and most of the women are in traditional sari garb; while the men wears suits to long sleeved shirts to normal shirts and pants.

Shops:
There are many single provision shops which are about the size of 2 atm machines behind each other. They sell a variety of candy, chips, drinks, and gum. Not to mention cigarettes, where the natives buy by sticks. The 'uncle' there also lends them matchboxes.
The only thing differentiating these multitude of provision shops(one can be found after every 3-4 stalls) must be the variety of the provisions they're selling. They're slightly different each shop.

Still on shops, i've noticed quite a couple of shops selling kacang puteh(?) and slightly more stores selling little cakes and pastries, which cost 4 rupees each. These cakes are very sweet, as with the drinks there. Would it be fair to say that they have a sweet tooth?

The expiry date of many things are backdated to 17th Feb 2007. I guess that would make things cheaper eh?

15th - Arrival at Port Blair

15th - Arrival at Port Blair

We reached port at around 8+am Echo Foxtrot, which was about 10:30 Hotel time. There's a 2 1/2 hour time difference at Port Blair.

I suppose i should tell you what i know about Port Blair, what little i know from Wikipedia.

Port Blair (coordinates: 11°40′N 92°45′E) is the largest town and a municipal council in Andamans district in the Andaman Islands and the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands union territory of India. It lies on the east coast of South Andaman Island and is the main entry point to the islands.

It is also the headquarters for the Indian district of Andaman, and the local administrative sub-division (tehsil), which is also called Port Blair.

It is home to several museums and a major base for the Indian Coast Guard.

Quoted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Blair
There's a bit more information there, but really nothing much.

Anyways, as our ship was heading alongside, we saw many trees, coconut trees, and only a few buildings.

There was a trip to Ross Island at 2+pm, where i took the bus from our location, To Aberdeen Ferry where we waited for a few minutes before taking the boat over. The ride took less than 10 minutes, and here we are at Ross island~

Its like visiting an open aired musuem. I saw some ruined british buildings like a bakery and a chapel. Also saw a Japanese bunker, and a ruined mineral water plant. There were some tombstones, and at the end of the entire 2 hour trip we had some coconuts to drink.

Yet the most interesting things i saw must be the abundence of squirrels, the 3 deers, and the Antelope.. with its antlers intact~

I must say, the bad thing about this trip is that somehow we got mixed in with another group of Indian tourists, and they started merging with us. Which made things decidedly confusing and messy.

Anyhows we took the ferry back, and then a bus to Aberdeen Bazaar.

We walked around a bit, before stopping at the Lighthouse(which happens to be the restaurant of the only 3-star hotel in the port). There were loads of stuff in the menu, and after looking through it, i had the Chicken Roast Grill + a Milkshake (170+30) The milkshake tasted like Bandung, just that it had an extremely sweet aftertaste. We also ordered Fish fingers, crab meat soup, and chilli chicken as appetitizers. For the 4 of us, it came up to 200+ Rupees each.

I forget to mention, SGD$1 = 27 Rupees. So by comparison, it was really cheap.

The thing about this lighthouse, is that it takes about 45 minutes for the order to arrive. Sometimes there's coke, sometimes there isn't, the same with ice. But still, the food was quite good, and we were satisfied.

We walked around after that, and chanced upon a Hallmark shop. I think its one of the few fully air-conditioned shop in the entire place. They were playing old english songs too. Early 2000 that is.

Also stopped at a giant provision store, sort of like NTUC, just that there were no frozen food, and the stuff there were mostly expired, most of the dates are 17th Feb 2007. Hmm. Yet the natives buy it like there's nothing wrong.

I'm sure i could eat them and still be safe, but we decided not to chance it.

Then took the bus back to shop, had a shower, and slept.

My trip to port Blair

My trip to Port Blair (India) from the 12th - 22nd March

On the 12th, we were supposed to report to the ship at 4+, and i must confess, i was feeling pretty lethargic the whole day. Nonetheless, kefeng and me met up at JP before taking the bus over, got a fruit juice before heading to the ship, which would be my home for the next 10 days.

I discovered that 4 other divers would be staying with me. Strangers at first, but strangers that would turn into friends.

Friendship started slowly, and it wasn't until the shore leave that i managed to become closer with them.

On the way to port blair, i tagged with the chefs on board. Oh yes, in case you all didn't know, i wasn't forced to come to this trip. I volunteered~ Not because of the port, but because i happen to know both chefs, and i thought this may rekindle my fire for cooking or even just to learn a bit.

Most of the time when i wasn't sleeping, playing with my Chrono Cross or Final Fantasy Tactics or even reading the first book of Terry Goodkind, i was helping out in the Galley(kitchen); washing up, handing condiments to chef, talking, but most of the time i was just looking, hoping to commit some of the stuff to my subconscious memory.

Let me introduce the Chefs: Chief-Chef Jason, Leading-Chef Roger.

I watched NaNa with Roger once, then he borrowed my PSP and watched it another 6 times. Phew, i know its good, but i can't imagine watching something so many times...

Ah right, i went up to the bridge, and spent quite a few hours there as well, just talking, looking at the vast sky which was full of stars at night~ Not to mention how windy it was. We talked about anything and everything..

And then we reached Port.

Today is the day i sail off for Port Blair, India.

Basically i won't be around from the 12th to 22nd, *yawns*.

Not really feeling anything other than Nua-ness. Well, it beats feeling sickly the whole of yesterday. At least i don't feel that tired now.

Don't really know what to expect for this trip. But i've more or less finished packing.
Now loading up stuff for my PSP. Sigh, i think i woke up too early. =_=

Alright! Have fun while i'm away you guys! Miss me if you will, but if you don't.. don't tell me!
Adious~

Day Noel bought phone, National Library, Edwin's BBQ.

10th March, Saturday

Today is the day i woke up 8 hours after i slept, ate a bit, then slept again. I woke up feeling like crap, and i changed and bathed before meeting Noel to get his phone.

Yeap, he's getting a E61, a super bulky phone with loads of functions.

Basically we went to PS, then after queing up for what seemed like 40+ minutes, we were told that there was no stock for his phone here, and we had to go to Cuppage to do everything there.

We had some Omelette noodles before we left, and that's all for breakfast/lunch.. (4+pm)

Brisk walked to Cuppage where we had to queue up again. This time for another 30+ minutes.
Fortunately, we entertained ourselves with the books we brought, and because they were having a corporate plan show, i was able to sign up for a plan at 15% discount~

Noel then took a cab and drove off for his friend's party, while dropping me off at the National Library.

I must say, despite the library having opened for so long, this is the first time i've actually stepped into the building.

They had a wide array of books in the Basement, the 'borrowing' section, where fiction/non-fiction books, english/chinese/other languages, comics etc. Everything was in that borrowing section.

I ended up reading a book that i've been searching for 40+ minutes. Ended up borrowing the book after all, and took a brisk walk around the rest of the library while it was time to go. The reference levels were from 7-12th i believe, and i didn't walk in because i had to put my bag in the locker. Was too nua to try it.

Took the train to Pasir Ris and met up with Jiaxing and KC, and then KC drove us to Edwin's bbq.

The bbq consisted of more or less the same people, just that edwin's sister Veron(?) brought a couple of her friends along, and also some of her students, who later in the night, performed a very entertaining 5 minute dance for us.

The dance was half break dance, half rap, half pop kinda dance. (hey, i'm no expert). But its something most people our age would appreciate.

Not surprisingly, i didn't mix much with the people who weren't Navy medics. Wonder what's stopping me This time?

Pretty surprised to see Rin there, who's now an air-stewardess at Silk Air. I always thought she had a unique feel around her, and now its been fully 'utilized'. haha.

Left at 12+.

9th of March

Nothing much happened in camp today. But as i was heading back home in the train, i saw Huiyi again, and realised that she's going to meet up the rest of her classmates back in Sec school. So ciao hor. Never see never see one, once you start seeing you keep seeing.

Hmm~

Right, i got my mp3 player from the IT fair yesterday as well. $49 bucks for a Akira 1gb mp3 player which can also record stuff. This will help in the future..~

Ah yes, i went home a bit, then watched some Shakugan no Shana, and tinkled with my mp3 player for quite some time before heading down to sch at 7:30. First thing i saw when i entered was the Scouts all gathering at the flag pole for some ceremony, so i just sat down at the quadrangle watching. When all of a sudden, a muslim family decided to visit me and asked me if i have seen their BB boys.

I walked all around, and eventually told them that i have no idea where the BB kids are. And then i rejoined my scouts.

The only noticable difference was that there were 4 girls, and their uniform (almost typed no.3, occupational hazard) were like maternity dresses. I mean, their skirts were so long!

Looking at them, i suddenly just smiled to myself. Its so cute! A group of kids with their faces still so blur, and so small... ahhh!

In case you're wondering, its not just the girls lar, the guys also.

I managed to chat up one of them who had some gastric trouble, only to find out that she can see ghosts. liew, i never really talked to someone who could see them. Its like ghost whisperer in real life. How ironic that she's never seen the show before.

Anyways after the 'Investiture', we had some pizzas and KFCs for dinner, and after that it was time for the sec 1's to leave, while i had to teach the sec 2's first aid.

My aids for first aids were some medical stores in the very miserably badly stocked first aid kit, so i just taught them what each item was used for, taught them about heat exhaustion, and what to do when someone chokes. Not to mention chatting with them a bit lar.

i would like to add at this point that the sec 1's are really cute... aaargh!

Yes, the rest are not important, i got home, and tried to chat on msn, but this Linjie wasn't in the mood to chat, unlike yesterday. Tsk tsk.

Sometimes i feel like i really need to do some serious upgrading of my EQ skills..

Ah right, that's it for today, more updates tomorrow~

3rd March

It was the Navy's Family Day, and we were 'asked' to 'participate' in the celebration at the Jurong Bird Park. We met up at around 8+ at JP, and then took the bus over.

As we were walking towards the entrance of the Bird park, we saw some swans on the pond outside, and that's the exact moment i regretted not bringing my camera along.

As we walked in, the first thing we checked out was the Penguins. They were quite cute i must say, and some of them weren't moving, just standing there with their fins(?) outstretched. For a moment there i actually thought they weren't real.. haha.

Ah! Not to mention, some of the penguins were swimming with only one fin, and they were alternating the fin every few seconds... the overall result was.. as you can guess, Cute!

Well after that we went to the main event hall, where we got some breakfast as R(Adm) Ronnie Tay, Chief of Navy gave an opening speech and started off the event.

Tomithy and me decided to just walk around, while some of us stayed behind at the temporary tattoo place, and the rest left straight for JP.

I don't know why they wanted to leave so early. Since we're already here, why not make the most out of it anyways? Jurong Bird Park isn't that bad a place, and besides, they just finished their renovations on August or Sep last year, so its really very new.

We hooked up with a group with a guide, and saw the ostriches, swans, ducks, flamingoes, etc. It was only halfway through the guided tour that i recognised Mr Ronnie Tay in the group, not to mention the Chief of Medical Corps. Phew. Of all the groups, we tagged along the most important one... haha.

After all the bird watching, we went to the Birds of Prey show. Basically all these predators from Hawks to Eagles to Owls, put on a little 'show' for us. It was really nice...

And after that we went back to the Penguin enclosure, since it was their feeding time. I couldn't really catch what the feeder was trying to say since everyone was chatting at the same time. Well, eventually we left and i bought a little penguin, as a belated bday present for Huiyi~

Then went back to the enclosure to see that they were still waiting for their Tattoos... phew.
Eventually they got it, and then we left for JP, and then home. I managed to sneak a few glances at Her again..

Don't remember what i did after that, but it was a tiring day. haha.

8th march

I managed to get a half day leave for the day, and also decided to meet Huiyi up to pass her present to her(pass her her present?). I must say, this is the first time i've seen her since years back, and when i saw her i must say i'm a bit shocked. Didn't know her voice sounded so... young.

Anyways, because she didn't want to play pool, eat ice-cream, watch a movie, i decided to sit down at McCafe for a drink, while we chatted a bit. After that, i accompanied her to the bank to get some stuff done, and then i'm off for home.

Today i didn't see Her, but i saw another girl, who reminds me of another girl, who reminds me of.. yea you get the idea, another girl. haha. Sometimes i think i'm seeing twins. Or the same person over and over again.. okay, i must be thinking too much again.

Basically as i tried to sleep at around 3:30, the phone rang every hour, until eventually i gave up and picked up the phone at 7:30. It was my grandpa reminding me to buy extra food for dad.

It was also today that i decided to try Ooshi pizza. Their medium pizza cost 29.50, while their Ooshi pizza combo consisting of a medium pizza, 3x chicken wings, 1x salad and 1x Tofu. However, because they were out of salads and Tofus, we changed them to Croquettes instead.

I must say, their Chicken ham & Shitake pizza wasn't that good. Bleh. But at least its not tasteless like a certain Canadian Pizza...

After that i chatted with a few people, including a new friend tonight by the name of Ling Jie~
We chatted til 1, then i left her to weiquan... ~~

CNY celebrations

CNY celebrations

Its been a long time since my last blog, so i'll just touch on how my CNY was.

Overall, i managed to see a couple of girls that are slowly blossoming to become well, ladies.
In my extended family i suppose.

On the 2nd day of new year i got a sudden chill, and started sneezing like crazy. I wonder if a group of people were missing me or cursing me, but the feeling really felt pretty bad.

On the 23rd, a saturday, i actually visited 3 places. Brother Jianhui's place, who's my scout teacher, and met up with the rest of the scouts.

Surprisingly(or maybe not), i was one of the 2 people who remained attached. Weixiang had found his shi ting at long last, Alvin was with Juliet, Liza had a boyfriend, even Weilun has found a girl who i must say is quite pretty.

Wow. Sometimes i feel like i'm lagging behind. I must change this year, a new and more confident me shall emerge.

The 2nd house i visited was my lecturer's place. Ms Eileen Ng, though she's married now. This was supposed to be an alumni meeting, where people from the first graduated batch could attend.

When we reached her place from Bishan, which took close to 10 minutes, and entered the flat, all i see are mainly small groups. Except for one big group of girls who graduated last year.

I didn't mix with them much, heck, i got problems talking with Edwin and nicholas from my batch... though eventually i managed to chat up Yanie, Sinping and the rest pretty well~

At about 9:30pm, we went for Yenting's place. Was supposed to leave earlier, but Soffie had to go for this Kids central audition, and arrived late at Aileen Ng's place..

At Yenting's place we met up with Jiahui, Jiayan and of course Yenting. There was steamboat, yt's cousins, and 3 of her secondary school friends who she did not introduce to us. *cough*

The 'chocolate fountain' was quite cool, and pretty addictive. I don't remember what's the term for it though.

Eventually we left at 11:30+, and took the bus/train home.

It was a very eventful day, and was quite fun too~
